Do:

The Materials Lab Technician plays an integral role in the process flow of manufacturing, serving as a liaison between quality and manufacturing to ensure that production schedules are met efficiently and effectively
This position coordinates with team members across the organization, from manufacturing to senior management, to facilitate communication and streamline workflows
Conduct lot acceptance and qualification tests by customer specifications, engineering drawings, or procurement specifications
Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
Evaluate test results and accept or reject material or production lots
Record test results on standardized forms and write test reports describing procedures used
Prepare graphs and charts
Performs & reviews assays for production and reports results to management, alerting them of any nonconformances
Maintains and reports analytical records and results in a timely and orderly manner
Performs and maintains quality assurance data Follow and accurately record data as directed or required by routers and any other production tracking systems Maintains assay reporting database
Ability to read and interpret production prints
Other duties as assigned

Work Experience How You Will Get Here:

Associate or Technical degree in Science, Engineering, or STEM programs
3 years of experience in fabrication or machining.
1 year of professional experience in machining and mechanical testing of sample coupons for review of tensile strength, compression, peel, etc.

US Citizen Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in Rome, NY You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
