Job Description

CMM Technician 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 1720 Knox Bridge Crossing Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CMM Operator to join our quality a team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that products meet precise specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Protect our customers 100% from defects. Perform physical testing of final product to ensure products conform to specifications. Perform final inspections of finished products to ensure products conform to specifications. Excellent communication is required, both written and spoken, along with mechanical aptitude. Must have the ability to interpret blueprints, a working knowledge of measurement instruments, basic math and trigonometry. Skills and general proficiency with MS Excel, Access, and Word. CMM operation, required programming skills preferred. Give input regarding process improvements and work with the manufacturing team to implement their requirements effectively. Inspect by measuring dimensions using precision instruments to ensure parts and products meet specifications. Accurately document results, maintains all controlled document files and test records. Coordinate calibration test equipment and fixtures. Reports quality issues to the manager while following up to ensure corrective actions are accomplished. Meet quality and KPI standards as defined. Qualifications Proven experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Proficiency in measurement software, particularly PC-DMIS and Calypso. Experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
