Job Summary:
- A Quality Control Inspector, or Quality Assurance Associate, is responsible for making sure that products meet a set of standards.
Their duties include measuring the specifications of randomly selected material in each production run, examining inventory and raw goods shipments, and training new team members to refine production quality.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Inspecting output samples using industry appropriate methods, such as measuring dimensions, examining the functionality, and comparing to standards
- Determining the causes of production defects and reworks
- Checking that the operators of the production lines adhere to standards and procedures
- Proposing improvements to the production process
- Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
- Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
- Update work orders
- Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
