Job Description
Only candidates local to the Atlanta Metro Area will be considered. This position requires work in our AEE headquarters located in Chamblee. Position Summary The Senior Certification Manager plays a key role in the effective administration, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of AEE’s certification programs. This position leads efforts to ensure the integrity, consistency, and compliance of certification exam delivery in alignment with accreditation standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in credentialing or testing environments, and committed to supporting scalable, high-quality certification operations. Key Responsibilities Certification Operations & Process Leadership Provide leadership and operational guidance and support for the administration of all AEE certification exams, working closely with the certification team. Promote consistent implementation of certification policies, procedures, and best practices across all exam-related functions. Help shape priorities, track key deadlines, and support progress toward departmental goals. Contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and process documentation to promote team capability and alignment. Monitor and report on certification program performance, including individual exam metrics and global certification trends. Collaborate with organizational leadership to identify and implement process improvements and ensure audit readiness. Coordinate with international, training, and marketing teams to ensure consistency in program delivery and communication. Accreditation & Quality Assurance Ensure day-to-day compliance with accrediting organizations’ standards and requirements. Serve as a key contributor for annual ENAC and ANAB surveillance assessments, including document preparation and procedural alignment. Maintain and update the Certification Policies and Procedures Manuals in accordance with accreditation standards and organizational needs. Manage a master inventory of controlled documents related to certification exam administration and quality assurance. Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of accredited certification programs in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Work with the organization’s psychometrician to conduct exam health checks and monitor exam performance. Implement approved exam updates and version control protocols in coordination with the Exam Development Committee. Uphold and continually strengthen exam security procedures to protect exam content and program integrity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education, business, public administration, or a related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in certification, credentialing, testing, or a related professional field. Demonstrated experience managing staff and leading a high-functioning team. Familiarity with accreditation standards such as ISO/IEC 17024 or
ANSI/ANAB
requirements. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in managing documentation and controlled processes. Proven ability to coordinate across departments and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with exam management systems or credentialing platforms. Experience preparing for or participating in accreditation audits or surveillance assessments. Working knowledge of psychometric principles and exam development processes. Physical Demands This position is primarily office-based. In-person Work Environment:
This position requires on-site work in the AEE office with flexibility to work remote based on approval from the supervisor.
Extended Work Hours:
Due to the nature of the role, working more than 35 hours per week may be necessary to meet job responsibilities. Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work may be required, particularly during events.
