Job Description

A partner of Insight Global is seeking a QA Technician to join our dynamic and diverse team. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing quality checks, tests, and inspections of products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves documenting results, identifying defects or deviations, and collaborating with the production team to implement corrective actions. 3 openings: 1 Day Shift 7am-7pm Rotating shift schedule 2 Night Shift 7pm-7am Rotating shift schedule – 10% Pay Increase for shift differential

Key Responsibilities:
Inspecting Products:

Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet company and industry standards.

Testing:

Perform tests on products using established methods to verify their quality and functionality. This may include physical, chemical, and mechanical testing.

Documentation:

Accurately document inspection results, test data, and any deviations from the standard operating procedures (SOPs). Maintain detailed records for reference and quality audits.

Compliance Monitoring:

Ensure that products are produced in compliance with regulatory standards, customer specifications, and internal quality guidelines.

Defect Identification:

Identify defects, non-conformities, and areas for improvement. Work with the production team to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.

Reporting:

Prepare and present reports on quality issues, testing outcomes, and inspection results to the QA Manager or relevant departments.

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggest changes to processes, and assist in the development of new quality procedures.

Calibration and Maintenance:

Ensure that testing equipment and tools are properly calibrated, maintained, and in good working order.

Training:

Provide training to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques as needed.

Desired Traits:

4 years previous experience in quality assurance or a related field, particularly in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure products meet quality standards. Ability to analyze test data and inspection results to identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Familiarity with testing equipment, tools, and industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma). Able to workdays or night shifts

Compensation:

$60,000 to $75,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education
