Woodworking Full Job Description Job Function:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each direct responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Job Responsibilities:

Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Interpret and comply with quality assurance standards. Oversee the implementation and ensure efficiency of inspection and quality systems. Interface with other departments to address and resolve “day-to-day” issues. Perform root cause analysis in a team environment and facilitate corrective measures. Monitor and maintain layered process and component audits. Identify and collect data to measure cost of quality and provide the basis for continuous improvement. Contribute to the Management Review process through data analysis, metrics, reports and charts. Gather and organize statistical quality data, inspect data to detect areas for improvement. Develop and execute QA training programs across all functional areas. Provide quality project support as needed. Responsible for maintaining the external field Quality Alert program. Analyze customer grievances and determine root cause and corrective actions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Perform cabinet performance, material, parts, hardware testing as needed per established protocols. Ability to work with basic inspection and testing equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Pin gauges, load cell, joint strength tester, etc.). Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures. Detect coaching needs and take actions in accordance with these to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct activities and projects assigned by the Quality Manager. Support the company quality policy and quality objectives.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or commensurate experience Minimum 1-3 years in a quality role, project management, or positions requiring abundant critical thinking and planning, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement. Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement principles and techniques to quality and manufacturing functions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Woodworking experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Understanding of Six Sigma, SPC and Lean Manufacturing concepts Advanced computer skills with Excel and other Microsoft Office products required. Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus Leadership/supervisory skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. ASQ Certified preferred but not required.

Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and cross functional skills.

Teamwork:

Must work well with people at all levels of the organization. Mathematical aptitude and experience with Excel Spreadsheets. Strong customer service bias.
