SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible for the final inspection of outgoing products, including the documentation and reporting of all nonconformance indications.

JOB SCOPE/RESPONSIBILITIES

Read blueprints, plans, drawings, specifications, etc., to understand the quality expectations for each product. Perform inspections and/or quality assessments of all Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) features of outgoing products. Use precision measuring tools/equipment such as calipers, bore gauges, etc., to ensure products meet specified quality standards. Document and report inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. Coordinate with Project Engineering/Operations to evaluate all indications of non-conformance and send reports to the Director of Quality Assurance. Support the Director of Quality Assurance and/or Project Engineering or Director of Operations, as necessary, to identify trends in non-conformances, perform root cause analyses, and develop/implement corrective actions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated proficiency with word processing (e.g., MS Word or Google Docs) and spreadsheet (e.g., MS Excel or Google Sheets) software Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is an advantage Demonstrated understanding of quality control standards and measurement/testing techniques/equipment Familiarity with OSHA and company safety requirements Collaborative, open-minded, and professional communication style with the demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with employees and vendor/supplier personnel across all responsibility levels
