Department Purpose:
Quality Assurance involves creating processes, protocols, and procedures designed to monitor, test, and inspect manufacturing processes. The goal is to ensure that production meets the specified requirements for each unit produced every time.
Position Purpose:
Support activities in process analysis and product inspection to assure defect free products are delivered to the customer. •This position will train on day shift then transition to night shift in Feb. 2026•
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain inspection reports being updated by QA Associates during day to day activities. Monitor Associate spider charts to ensure Associates are fully trained in all areas of lab inspections. Monitor Associate performance to ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner. Able to work with other departments to solve quality issues as they arise. Assist with the management of the 5S program as it applies to the Quality Assurance department. Maintain high employee morale, minimizing staff turnover. Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, & Abilities:
High school diploma, GED, or technical degree preferred. 2 Yrs. working experience in a Quality Lab Environment. Basic CMM Operator Skills.
Basic Computer and Microsoft Office Skills Team Leader:
High School graduate or GED preferred 2 years Toyota Industries Group experience preferred. 100% completion of company-sponsored pre-promotion classes within two years of promotion Exemplified leadership experience preferred Promote and foster activities and communication to create and maintain good associate morale Set example and confirm associates adhere to safety rules, regulations and procedures Promote kaizen activities, SEQDCM, lead team members on department G&Os Implement and maintain all quality standards Physical Requirements The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move at least 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
