Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician III is responsible for providing impeccable support to the Production Team. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where safety, quality, service, and cost are the highest priorities. The Quality Control Technician will perform various quality systems and testing activities for manufacturing operations, including raw material certificate of analysis reviews, finished product testing, quality audits, plant trial testing & analysis, quality lab maintenance, and organization.
Essential Duties
Review real-time product quality on a consistent basis
Generate timely, consistent reports to ensure quality specifications are met
Perform physical property tests on finished products
Communicate effectively with production operators and leaders
Audit lab and manufacturing processes
Evaluate whether to reject or pass finished roofing products, manufactured warehouse items and other plant productions by observing samples
Assist and support the Process & Quality Engineer with projects as needed
Order routine lab supplies through approved processes and approvals
Maintain lab calibrations and documentation
Assure all activities are performed safely
Participate in new material trials in coordination with R D
Verify and inspect incoming raw materials for compliance
Ensure site adherence to raw material and finished product specifications
Make necessary adjustments by notifying the lead and/or manager and re-testing the product
Maintain housekeeping with consistent lab and facility maintenance
Additional projects and tasks may be assigned as business needs require
Manage out-of-spec raw material or finished goods both physically and electronically
Under This Roof, We Require
H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
2+ years of quality experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment OR 3 years of polyiso manufacturing experience

Experience supporting production and business goals
Demonstrated experience as a lab technician in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Forklift experience is preferred
Demonstrated intermediate communication skills and MS Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Programs.
