Full Job Description Quality Control Technician Columbus, GA Job Summary:
As a QC Lab Technician at Goldens’ Foundry & Machine Company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our products and adherence to established industry standards. You will be responsible for performing various testing and inspection procedures on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet our stringent quality requirements. The QC Lab Technician will work under the supervision of the QC Lab Supervisor to meet
ISO 9001
2015 standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined components. Operate and interpret measurements from calipers, ID and OD micrometers. Utilize Faro arm measuring systems for advanced dimensional inspection (strongly preferred). Perform dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Calibrate, maintain, and document the status of measurement gauges and tools. Keep accurate inspection records and report quality data as required. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies. Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Adhere strictly to all company safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical training is a plus. At least 2 years of experience in machining or a manufacturing quality control role.
Proven experience with metrology tools:
calipers, ID/OD micrometers. Familiarity with Faro arm systems (strongly preferred). Understanding of CMM use and basic programming. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Basic proficiency in using computers for documentation and reporting. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
