Responds to quality problems and leads team through root cause and corrective action activities to prevent future occurrences. Assists Production in daily activities as assigned. This position will support operations by providing Quality technical support in controlling processes and assuring customer needs are met. This is a high exposure position that will perform a major role in day-to-day problem solving.

Role and Responsibilities:

Verify Quality Control standards and measurement equipment / methods are being used by operators to detect and address non-conforming parts/products Work with Calibration tech to get gauges/measurement devices cycled thru the calibration process Define and implement robust process controls/error proofing solutions that ensure product conforms to specification and performance standards 80%+ of time spent in production areas working independently Other duties as required

Education & Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). 2 – 5 years Quality/MFG experience Experience using Measuring Equipment (Calipers, Indicators, Tape Measure) Basic knowledge of quality and lean manufacturing principles Basic knowledge of quality systems and process capability Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem solving Knowledge of Quality specifications preferred

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

Ability to work well in a team and independent environment Effective written and verbal communication skills with team members, customers, vendors Ability to visually inspect parts and distinguish between conforming and non-conforming parts Able to prioritize tasks in an efficient manner in order to meet deadlines Ability to perform mathematical calculations as necessary Ability to multi-task and manage stressful situations Proficient use of inspection equipment and in reading technical drawings Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement Knowledge of LEAN principles and manufacturing processes Must be able to read, write and speak
