Temp To Full-time Hire Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our quality team on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM•11:00 PM) . This full-time role involves programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform highly accurate inspections of precision parts and assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and operate Zeiss Contura 5-axis CMM using Calypso software and Mitutoyo Crysta Plus M CMM , preferably using PC-DMIS . Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product compliance with engineering specifications. Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T to determine inspection criteria. Document and report inspection results clearly and accurately for quality assurance records. Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues. Maintain calibration and upkeep of CMM equipment and associated measuring tools. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to inspection processes and quality systems.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in CMM programming and operation (Calypso and/or PC-DMIS). Strong knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing interpretation. Hands-on experience with Zeiss and Mitutoyo CMMs strongly preferred. Background in a high-precision manufacturing or quality assurance environment is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
