In this position, you will be an important member of the quality and manufacturing team interacting daily with other inspectors, manufacturing operators, engineers, suppliers, and customers.

Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment performing incoming and finished product inspection as well as assisting in the coordination of the department’s operations and procedures. Use and program the Coordinate Measurement Machine with CAMIO 8.2 and 8.6 software. Assist in the coordination of the rubber compound manufacturing department’s operations and responsibilities.

Position responsibilities include:

Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all employees by following company safety rules, regulations, and procedures. Enforce and adhere to all PPE requirements. Contribute to a Safety-First Culture by identifying Risky Situations. Program Coordinate Measurement machine, CMM using PC-DMIS programming software, knowledge on how to program CMM LK machine with software named Camio Studio based on

DMIS 8.1

would be a plus. Import Solid Models from the engineering design drafting department to feed CMM’s program coordinants. Able to perform offline programming. To inspect incoming material, work in process and final product for conformance to quality standards. To provide quality leadership, audit, inspection, problem identification resolution, training, consultation, and technical expertise to manufacturing groups and suppliers. To accurately document inspection, corrective actions, process, and other items as required. Ensure that inspection is done in a timely manner and improve inspection efficiency. Ensure the cleanliness of the quality lab and make sure that 6S is completed on time. Ensure the completion of the FAIRs on time and communicate any issues to the QE. Ensure that Inspection Plans are created for new products and accurate for the existing products.

Requirements:

Able to read and work from written instructions, read and interpret blue prints, working knowledge of basic and advanced mechanical inspection tools, knowledge of SPC, and the ability to use technical math to interpret and analyze complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and tables. Able to use a computer to enter and retrieve data. Ability to document processes and issues. Able to communicate clearly with people at all levels inside and outside the company. Provide leadership, consultation and training to production groups. High School diploma or equivalent plus 5+ years of experience. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Ability to adjust focus. Must pass eye exam per spec. Knowledge of
