ASAP We are seeking a QC Technician for a full-time, 2nd shift position for our client, a well-established manufacturer, located in Auburn, Maine. The QC Technician will perform critical lab-based testing and analysis on chemical raw materials and in-process products to ensure quality standards are met. The QC Technician plays a key role in monitoring product quality and communicating data-driven adjustments to production. This is a hands-on, fast-paced lab role in a manufacturing environment located in Auburn, Maine. As a QC Technician, you will be responsible for: Performing laboratory tests on incoming raw materials and in-process products (e.g., specific gravity, titrations, viscosity, refractive index, non-volatiles, color)
Monitoring product specifications and making calculated decisions to meet quality standards
Communicating test results to the production team and recommending material adjustments as needed
Preparing catalysts and other critical chemical additives for production use
Creating and maintaining accurate documentation, including certificates of analysis and lab data entry
Safely working with solvents, corrosives, toxic materials, and high-temperature substances
Operating and monitoring batch reactor systems via HMI interface
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized lab environment The ideal candidate for this role will have: A 2-year science-based degree with laboratory experience preferred OR A minimum of 3 years of experience in a QA/QC lab environment
Excellent math and analytical skills, including algebra-level computations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
The ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively
A team-oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate with production staff
The physical ability to safely handle lab materials and stand for extended periods
Steel-toed shoes (required on-site)
