Temporary Opportunity Job Description:

Seasonal full-time opening for a Quality Inspector to work for a locally owned food production facility in Westfield, ME. Flexible schedule options and competitive pay. Prior experience with produce inspection helpful, but not required. This is a seasonal job assignment; work is expected to be available for 3-4 months. Full-Time/Days or Part-Time/Days; hours available from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. $18.00 – $22.00/hr., depending on experience. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for examining produce to ensure that product meets company standards for quality, safety, and appearance. Must be comfortable working outside or indoors; inspections may take place in local fields or the food packaging facility. Ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and working knowledge of common food safety and quality control practices.

Responsibilities:

Inspect produce for size, color, firmness, defects, and overall quality.
Ensure that product is handled and packaged according to company standards and food safety regulations.
Maintain accurate and organized inspection records.
Report quality issues to supervisors and production staff.

Job Requirements:

Strong attention to detail; must be able to quickly and effectively spot damaged or spoiled product.
Good communication skills.
Ability keep accurate records of findings.
Prior experience in quality control or food safety inspection highly valued.

Schedule:

 Full-Time/Days or Part-Time/Days; hours available from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

Pay:
