DESCRIPTION
An established and growing manufacturer in Union, MO is seeking skilled Quality Control Technicians to support production and ensure all products meet strict quality standards. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with internal procedures and customer expectations, particularly within the aluminum extrusion industry. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of aluminum extrusion products using a variety of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Verify product compliance with specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements Monitor production lines to identify and address quality issues in real time Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with quality assurance procedures Assist with non-conformance investigations and initiate corrective actions when necessary Support internal audits and customer inspections Work closely with production, engineering, and shipping teams to resolve quality-related concerns Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety and 5S standards Interpret technical drawings and tolerances Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment as required Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment; extrusion experience is a plus Strong understanding of measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect surface and dimensional defects Good computer skills and experience entering data into quality systems or spreadsheets Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently or as part of a team Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts depending on production needs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering preferred Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quality control or quality assurance role in a manufacturing setting

$17.00 – $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
