Lab Technician:

Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Essential Job Functions

  • Apply technical skills to perform laboratory testing and analysis for Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) manufacturing and development
  • Assist lab supervision and engineers with sustaining, developing, and improving testing processes, procedures and equipment in a 24×7 environment Ancillary Job Functions
  • Ability to work in one or more test functions/types
  • Prepare test samples using one or more techniques including ICPMS – Plasma Mass Spectrometer
  • Train on other lab processes
  • Respond to out-of-control signals for lab metrology (SPC)
  • Perform or assist with preventative maintenance and calibrations as required by facilities/equipment
  • Assist with development or improvement of test methods by conducting MSA studies, document/revise procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
  • One or more years related lab experience
  • Must be comfortable wearing a full-body cleanroom suit Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in science or a relevant field of study or equivalent
  • Cleanroom experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Display initiative/self-motivation and accept responsibility for own actions to get the job done under indirect supervision
  • Complete assigned tasks with reliability, honesty in timeliness
  • Willingness to occasionally work overtime
  • Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft Office, other software or hardware, manufacturing systems and equipment, etc.)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain general job-related information to supervisor and coworkers and possibly others
