Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Technician to provide entry-level technical support within a microbiology laboratory environment. This role involves evaluating material and product quality by performing microbiological analysis on raw materials, finished products, stability samples, water, and environmental monitoring samples.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine microbiological testing and water analysis per established methods and USP standards (?61?, ?62?) Conduct endotoxin testing using kinetic methods Handle environmental monitoring in production areas and bioburden testing Operate lab equipment such as pH meters, analytical balances, TOC analyzers, and autoclaves Enter data and create samples in LIMS; review and send results to customers Document activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Maintain lab cleanliness, manage supplies, and ensure instrument readiness Support aseptic techniques and ensure compliance with cGMP and HSE standards Participate in peer review and maintain data archiving procedures Coordinate shipping and receiving of lab samples and materials
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor//’s degree in a science-related field (Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry) or equivalent experience Familiarity with laboratory instruments and aseptic technique Experience in a cGMP-regulated environment preferred Strong data entry and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) Understanding of microbiological principles and environmental monitoring practices
Preferred Skills:
Experience with USP water testing requirements Working knowledge of LIMS and lab safety practices Ability to communicate effectively and work across departments including
R D, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality Assurance Work Environment:
80% lab-based (exposure to plant products, reagents, and hazardous compounds) 20% office-based Must be able to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
