Position Summary This position is primarily responsible for providing visual, functional, and dimensional quality inspections for the North American Distribution Center. This individual will be responsible for completing inspections, utilizing inspection, and measuring equipment where necessary, and completing SAP transactions to ensure product is available. The individual should have organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion. Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections
  • Use various pieces of measurement equipment (Caliper, Micrometer, Scale, Comparator)
  • Ability to read and interpret product characteristics and inspection plans
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
    Education / Experience Requirements
  • High School education or GED equivalency
  • One-year experience in a position involving inspecting parts to blueprints using measuring instruments (comparator, micrometer and calipers) preferred
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to read measuring instruments
  • Understanding of basic math, including decimals
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
  • Forklift certification required. Forklift certified on all equipment preferred
    Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP applications
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude
  • Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
  • Relevant Experience working within Medical Device, or other FDA-regulated Industry is an advantage
