Accuracy Control Technician
Location:
Pascagoula, MS General Function The Accuracy Control Technician supervises and performs visual and physical inspections, sampling, and testing to ensure that products and materials conform to established quality, appearance, and performance standards. This role involves using various gauges and measuring instruments and works under the general direction of the Quality Control Manager or another division manager. Typical Duties Implement operating procedures and recommend improvements or revisions.
Inspect and supervise inspections of in-process, finished, and repair work to ensure compliance with standards, codes, specifications, and drawings.
Conduct material and product testing using various measuring instruments and chemical applications, such as meters, gauges, and liquid penetrants.
Maintain calibration schedules and records for all measuring instruments.
Maintain documentation of all testing and inspection results.
Serve as a liaison and escort for external inspectors.
Work closely with production teams to ensure proper alignment of modules in assembly and erection areas. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and applicable engineering principles.
Proficiency with gauges, measuring devices, and the ability to train others in their proper use.
Ability to lead quality control efforts to ensure product integrity.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication across all levels, including customers and regulatory personnel. Experience & Training Two years of college-level coursework preferred, or a high school diploma with at least four years of experience in the accuracy control field.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D surveying instruments.
