$28.50 per hour We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at our busy shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control, with at least 3 years of experience in a shipyard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections in at least three (3) of the following areas: welding, machining, painting (coating), piping, mechanical, and testing. Utilize various inspection and testing techniques, including NDE inspections such as: Radiographic film interpretation Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging (UT) Review and interpret codes, specifications, and advanced blueprints to ensure compliance with project standards. Perform thorough inspections beyond visual assessments to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of QA/QC experience in a shipyard. Knowledge of NDE techniques and advanced inspection methods. Ability to read and interpret codes, specifications, and blueprints .
