Job Description

KENT® Precision Foods Group, a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Quality Control Technician. Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting product analysis and inspection as assigned. The technician must follow Work Instructions for the assigned processes insuring that products and packaging comply with set quality standards. The technician must be able to work in plant environment at ambient temperatures. Must be able to communicate with the manufacturing team and take action when the assigned process is out of Quality limits. This position is designed and intended to be performed in Columbus, MS.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs batching product testing as designated. Verify ingredient type and ingredient per the Qwik Stik and Liquid Batching sheets. Perform finish product testing and check daily Perform powder analysis required. Perform monthly warehouse audits. Microbiological samplings. Perform monthly calibration audit. Fill in the for Quality inspector in his/her absence. Operate and perform tasks in the safety chain system Maintain filling of COA’s and other hard copy documents. Perform sweetener verification and testing. Verify and validate CCP’s as required. Complete required documentation and reports in a timely process. Maintain a good attendance record. Adhere to all safety practices as set forth by OSHA. Adhere to the HACCP Food Defense Plan Adhere to all Good Manufacture Practice as set in the Sqwincher GMP Plan.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology or related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
