Mississippi (US-MS) The Role at a glance: We are looking to add a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Traditions team in Pearl, MS. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will rotate in various departments throughout the plant in order to document necessary quality guidelines in compliance with USDA standards. The Quality Assurance Technician will work in Portion Control to document weights, temperatures, SSOP’s (Sanitation Performance Operating Procedures) and GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) on an hourly basis. The Quality Assurance Technician will work on the Receiving Dock checking in goods by documentation product temperature, tagging product (by the week received), verify correct product, monitoring the clocks, freezers, cooler, documenting temperatures of each area of the plant and taking proper action when temperatures are found to be out of compliance of Traditions’ HACCP Plan. What you’ll be doing: Document and take temperatures in relation to the HACCP program in Kitchen and Portion Control; Monitor and document SSOP and SPS Complete paperwork daily with sign-off from Management Document weight verification in Portion Control and Packout Pack request for samples and 10-packs Verify product ingredients and case count Verify label for accuracy according to menu Place product on hold for clarification for various reasons Notify Manager of issues in the operation Provide assistance to other team members Document temperatures at assigned areas in the facility What we’re looking for:

Must-haves:

Must be capable of lifting at least 30 pounds or more Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, policies, and other communications. Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with all Traditions’ team members. Ability to perform all types of mathematical functions. Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time. Must be able to attend to detail.

Nice-to-haves:

Experience in a food service industry is preferred.

Compensation:

The pay rate is $13.25/hr.
