Job Description

Product Quality Specialist Ergon, Inc – Refining & Marketing Vicksburg, MS 39183 POSITION SUMMARY The Product Quality Specialist supports the integrity of Ergon’s products across supply chain terminals by managing quality processes, coordinating sample testing, and maintaining critical product data. This role works cross-functionally with Supply & Distribution, contract labs, Customer Service, and Product Stewardship to ensure high standards of performance, accuracy, and responsiveness in all quality-related operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage product quality, analysis, and blending operations for terminals in coordination with Ergon Supply & Distribution and contract laboratories. Maintain terminal contacts and product databases; participate in terminal and lab audits. Support investigation and resolution of product quality complaints and non-compliances, including COA management and terminal manual updates. Coordinate shipment and preparation of pre-shipment and outside lab samples; ensure timely data tracking and communication. Lead processes related to product creation, Product Data Sheet updates, and Customer Specification Agreements in Salesforce. Maintain COA templates in LabWorks LIMS and assist Customer Service with technical note updates in SAP. Prepare quarterly Statistical Quality Control (SQC) charts and participate in technical trend discussions. Respond to customer documentation requests, including questionnaires, USMCA/COO certifications, and

SDS/REACH

information via Product Stewardship.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Chemistry or Engineering preferred. Industry experience with a technical focus on product applications, testing, or quality management. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across internal and external stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management systems or lab information systems. Customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with SAP, Salesforce, LabWorks LIMS, or similar systems. Familiarity with product quality audits, regulatory documentation, and customer certification requests. Prior experience coordinating between technical, commercial, and operational teams.
