The Greer Group has immediate, temp to hire, Quality Inspectoropportunity in the Swannanoa/East Asheville area with a largecorporation.

The Job:

Performs specific job responsibilities:

Perform incoming inspections, non-complex first article, finishedgoods inspections customer returns for compliance to specificationsand auditing. Assist with receiving incoming materials and match topurchase orders through utilization of the ERP system. Processescustomer returns and returns to suppliers and handles allassociated paperwork. Ensure incoming material meets specificrequirements per blueprint. Ensure incoming material is moved toproper location. Ensure that all paperwork and inspection reportsare accurate and complete. Maintain manual and electronic recordfiling system for incoming materials and returns. Ensure materialsand return products are in accordance with established tolerancelevels for quality and performance. Recognize defects and problemsthat arise during production of products. Complete DefectiveMaterial/Non-conforming Material notices and coordinate dispositionof affected material. Roving inspection of work-in-process.

MinimumQualifications Required:

High school diploma or general educationdegree (GED) required. Minimum of 12 months of related experiencein quality assurance/control inspection process.

Essential Skills,Abilities & Knowledge:

Ability to use small hand tools such asscrewdrivers, nut driver, and pneumatic rivet gun. Ability to readand comprehend written work instructions, pick lists, and assemblydrawings. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Abilityto work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Pays closeattention to detail with the ability to complete assignmentsaccurately and recognize and assist in resolving problems. Computerknowledge of Microsoft Word required.

Working Conditions:

Be ableto use calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools forverification of product. Intermediate computer knowledge ofMicrosoft applications including Word and Excel. Ability to readand follow basic instructions. Ability to understand and implementquality procedures. Good communication skills, both written andoral. Ability to read Bills of Materials, Engineering drawings, andECN’s. Ability to work in a team environment with minimalsupervision.
