We are a fully integrated supplier of manufacturing and engineering services providing steel components and complex, high value-added assemblies for the agricultural, construction, mining, energy, heavy truck and industrial sectors. The QA Robot Technician will conduct continuous inspection and testing of products at various stages of production processes and will compile data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. The Quality Technician will report to the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspection of first offs to ensure they meet print / control plan requirements. Inspect parts being shipped to subcontractors and/or customers to ensure they are to print / control plan requirements. Records test data. Issue internal rejection for non-conforming product and inform Quality Engineer or Manager of non-conformance. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate deviations from existing standards. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Sets up and performs destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics. Prepares graphs or charts of data to enter into computer for analysis. Operates coordinate layout machines and computer databases. Creates and updates quality system documentation and provides training to shop personnel. Maintains MMC Calibration Database. Interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T)

  • CMM Arm Programming & Measuring Gage/fixture calibration Review customer specifications and interpret and guide relevant team members Calibrates all shop personnel testing equipment.

Practice good housekeeping. Performs other duties as necessary in support of departmental goals. Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e.

IATF, ISO 14001

  • High school diploma or GED; or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate the CMM and laser QC (write functional programs), as required.
  • Ability to complete gauge calibration.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manual.
  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
