Overview:

Responsible for inspecting, and ensuring proper testing of products and processes throughout the manufacturing cycle to ensure they meet established quality standards, including customer specifications, industry regulations, and company policies, by performing routine inspections, identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions; essentially acting as a Client of product quality to prevent substandard goods from reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Product inspection: Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications using various inspection tools and techniques.
Data collection and documentation: Recording inspection results, documenting non-conforming products, and maintaining detailed quality records to track trends and identify potential problems.
Quality reporting: Preparing reports on quality findings, including data analysis, identifying root causes of issues, and proposing corrective actions.
Process monitoring: Observing production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards, identifying areas for improvement, and suggesting process adjustments.
Calibration, ESD, and maintenance: Maintaining and calibrating equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability while ensuring ESD standards are met.
Compliance checks: Ensuring adherence to relevant quality standards.
Root cause analysis: Participating in investigations to determine the root cause of quality issues and develop preventative measures.
Training and communication: Providing training to production personnel on quality procedures and standards, and communicating quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
