Winston-Salem, NC Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7am to 3pm

Summary:

The Quality Inspector is an entry level position to learn the processes of quality and the different machines used in the process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Inspecting / sorting stock for defects. Perform in-process quality inspections of producing machines. Assist with general housekeeping of the plant; both inside and outside. Perform quality audits such as GMP’s, Glass & Brittle Plastics, Pest Control, etc. Stacking off from the die cutters or folder gluers, as needed. Strip and separate die cut parts from sheets, as needed. Off load corrugated from the machines, as needed. Assist Lead Quality Auditor and Tier 1 Customer Quality Coordinator, as needed. Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area. Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. Overtime is required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED minimum. Proficient in Microsoft Office computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel. Previous Quality Inspection experience Requires the ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality products. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
