We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hard-working Product Testing Technician to join our growing team of Quality Associates at Blum USA. You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. Responsibilities & Duties:
Create and/or assist in creating annual product test plan for Blum US manufactured products Performs various testing per existing guidelines Documents/reports test results for product optimizations & future products development to marketing & Blum Austria Communicates component, product & process feedback to product managers, quality engineers & technicians Evaluates customer driven requests for BUS manufactured products (specific applications) Develops new product testing QAG’s & proposes modifications to existing QAG’s Coordinates test equipment optimizations/modifications & new test equipment installations Maintains test lab inventories Provide product function training per request No US or international travel required Works first shift schedule with flexibility to work whenever required Complies with all safety policies & procedures
Education:
HS diploma or GED required ASQ-CQT certification is preferred Completion of DOL approved apprenticeship program emphasizing Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training & experience can be substituted
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a medium sized Industrial/Manufacturing environment is required
Knowledge:
Knowledge of ISO9000 standards & practices in a manufacturing environment Thorough knowledge of all existing QAG’s (in BUS Quality Manual) used to test Blum products Thorough knowledge of all existing US Standards used to certify functional hardware (ANSI/BHMA, ANSI/BIFMA, ANSI/KCMA, WIC, etc.) Extensive knowledge of all Blum products & their applications Knowledge of numbers, their operations & interrelationships including arithmetic, statistics, & their applications (including English/Metric conversions) Knowledge of equipment, tools, mechanical devices their & their uses to produce & control the motion of functional hardware Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools & instruments involved in the production & use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings & models Knowledge of the applications of statistical process control (SPC) & quality improvement activities (corrective action, preventive action, employee qualification & work center audits) Familiar with the operation of product testing equipment
