Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 8749 West Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27409 SUMMARY The primary purpose of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to ensure compliance with all quality controls that pertain to order accuracy, weight verification, load accuracy, truck check in, reconciliation, and inventory of products. The Quality Assurance Specialist will participate in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures as needed to ensure adherence to quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Order Checking:

Ensure all orders meet quality standards for proper selection, stability, and weight verification before they are released for loading. Ensure all orders with weight variances between the license plate and weight sticker are documented and then corrected by the selectors. Review daily error reports and work with management to develop improvement plans.

Check In and Loading:

Check in returning route drivers as necessary and follow all proper check in procedures. Verify all pallets are loaded on the “correct route” as indicated on license plate. Further, each pallet should be inspected to ensure no damage and proper weight. Ensure all route manifests are accurate and placed in the cab of the truck. These should be signed off on by the QAS. Ensure that all orders placed on the wrong truck or with weight errors are properly documented. Review daily error reports and work with management to develop improvement plans.

Overall:

Ensure all product movement in and out of, and within, the facility is controlled and follows appropriate processes, including required documentation. Review daily inventory reports to identify losses and assist in all areas of loss prevention to minimize inventory losses. and worker safety. Participate in the development and improvement of standard operating procedures. Understand and adhere to all operational processes and procedures. Responsible for ensuring adherence to all safety programs to meet company standards and exceed those of regulatory agencies. Always adhere to dress code and be properly attired and groomed. Obey all federal, state and local Laws. Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of elementary accounting, and/or variety of office or testing/checking procedures. Equivalent to high school education plus additional specialized courses/training equal to two-years technical college or associate degree. Over one-year and up to three years’ experience.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES

Repetitive or routine duties involving the use of various procedures and the application thereto of clearly prescribed standard practice requiring making minor decisions and the use of some judgement.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
