Job Description As the Quality Assurance Technician, you willensure non-conforming components are quarantined as required bydocumented procedures. You will assign notification/correctiveaction requirements and follow through to completion and will alsobe responsible for ensuring all nonconforming materials areaccurately documented and dispositioned as required for bothSupplied items and Customer returns. You will also inspect andqualify products based on inspection methods, procedures, andprocesses.
What you will do:
- Perform inspections on all productsand components manufactured in-house or from outside suppliers toensure conformance to business specifications
- Confirm thataccompanying documentation meets requirements
- Perform roving shopfloor inspections as needed or required
- Perform Non-DestructiveTesting and Destructive Testing as required in process and uponreceipt
- Communicate non-conformances to applicable departmentsand collaborate on resolutions
- Complete assigned audits asassigned or scheduled
- Document common cause non-conformances intoreject logs and applicable reports
- Work in a safe mannerfollowing safety requirements, protocols, and procedures
- Performall other duties as directed or required What we are looking for:
- High School diploma or GED required; Technical degree or Associatespreferred
- 5-10 years related experience; or combination ofeducation and experience
- Experience in measuring and evaluatinggears and gear forms
- Ability to use all common inspectionequipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, videoinspection systems, comparator, and pin and thread gauges
- Abilityto read and understand blueprints, including the definitions of
ANSI Y14.5
(GD&T) symbols and their relationships
- Must becomfortable using various software programs including MicrosoftOffice; Oracle experience a plus
- Strong communication andorganizational skills a must
- Ability to work as both anindividual contributor and in a team environment
- Ability to lift20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs.constantly
- Must have good manual dexterity and visual acuityLI-JT1
