Quality Technician Position Available In Lee, North Carolina

Job Title:

Quality TechnicianJob Description The Quality Technician will be responsible for utilizing various metrology tools to measure and analyze parts for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), engineering samples, and identifying root causes of production quality issues. This role involves significant tasks related to calibration, line audits, and part measurement. Responsibilities + Conduct PPAP measurements using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), visual comparators, and other tools to ensure parts meet print specifications. + Calibrate fixtures and testers, accounting for 55% of the job responsibilities. + Perform line audits to ensure parts are correctly assembled, contributing 25% to the role. + Take baseline equipment measurements before audits commence. + Potentially write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Essential Skills + Experience with metrology lab equipment such as CMM (Pcdmis), Mitutoyo Ph-A14 Comparator, Force Tester with load tester, Mark-10 Load Tester, Mitutoyo SJ-201 Surface Finish Tester, FischerScope X-Ray XAN Plating tester, Konica Minolta Color Finishes, RAM Optical Vision System, and Height Gages. + Proficiency in quality control and inspection. + Ability to handle calibration of equipment and perform line audits. + Familiarity with data input using SharePoint and Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing of mechanical parts. + Ability to analyze brushed nickel and other appearance aspects. + Degree not required, but must be adept at using listed equipment.
