Job Description

We are looking for a 3D Scanning Inspector for our Huntersville, NC location. The 3D scanning inspector will be responsible for inspection of both conventionally machined as well as additively manufactured parts utilizing 3D scanning equipment (GOM) and generating inspection reports that comply with customer specifications. The 3D scanning inspector will assist with CMM and Vision inspection system programming and operation, as well as performing manual inspections when required.

Your Responsibilities:

+ Incoming / in-process / final inspections of parts utilizing 3D scanning equipment (GOM) + Interpret 2D drawings or 3D models and create inspection methods in accordance to geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements. + Responsible to produce necessary manual or computer-generated inspection reports to accept or reject products. + Assist other teams with troubleshooting and/or reverse engineering utilizing the GOM system + Assist QC team with inspections utilizing other equipment such as, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plugs, thread ring gages, thread gages, surface plates, hardness tester, optical comparator, surface plate, CMM and noncontact inspection systems as required. + Completes data processing move transactions as required. + Responsible for review and acceptance of paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance of product. + Prepare written and verbal reports, metrics, and data as directed. + Follow health, safety, environmental and continuous improvement (lean) requirements. + Assist in preparation of first article inspection reports per AS9102

Your Profile:

+ Preferred 4 year degree in Quality, Engineering, Metrology, or related discipline + 2+ years of experience operating / programming 3D scanning equipment. Preferred experience with GOM. + Knowledge or experience inspecting various types of materials (e.g., aluminum, alloy, titanium, stainless steel, etc.). + Experience working within aerospace requirements (AS9100) + Experience with providing reports in accordance with AS9102 (First Articles) + Experience with interpreting customer prints in accordance with

ASME Y14.5

(GD&T) + Professional certification (ASQ or similar) in relevant quality disciplines preferred + Experience in LEAN strategies to support and drive continuous improvement preferred + Possesses basic knowledge of AQL sampling selection per internal procedures or

ANSI/ASQC

Z1.4 or as directed by customers + Good written and oral communication skills + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) + This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
