Full Job Description Quality Inspector Job Summary:
Communicate with all level of associate based on quality department concerns. Candidate must have experience with measuring manufactured parts with micrometers, calipers, etc and comparing to the blueprint to determine conformance. Ensures all quality practices are performed according to quality manual; keeps manuals updated. Handles returned goods including issuing return authorization; ensures corrected parts are sent to the customers in time specified. Investigates quality problems and works with appropriate departments to ensure problems are corrected indefinitely. Conducts quality audits to find ways to reduce rejects and reworks. Recommends methods and procedures for inspection of parts. Supervises current methods and procedures for inspection of parts. Ensures accurate record keeping/paperwork done for employees. Listens to an conveys an understanding of the needs, ideas priorities and requests of others and responds appropriately. Responds to phone calls, emails and other requests in a professional, friendly, promptly. Demonstrates initiatives by accepting responsibilities in new and current situations without being asked and making appropriate decisions on a timely basis. Other plant duties as needed to help ensure quality compliance and the smooth running of plant operations.
Requirements:
5- 10 years of experience in short-run, job shop metal stamping and fabrication industry. 5-8 years in QA positions in metal stamping. 3-5 years managerial experience in QA and stamping industry.
