Job Overview:
A Circular knitting machine operator is responsible for operating industrial Circular knitting machines; repair yarn-related faults at the knitting head and fabric press-offs; operate process machines ancillary to the knitting production; identify and sort wastes; and demonstrate knowledge of yarn-related faults in. The Knitting Machine Operator will also be charged with regular quality assessment of knit product.
Description of Duties :
A Circular knitting machine operator is responsible for
- operating industrial Circular knitting machines
- repair yarn-related faults at the knitting head and fabric press-offs.
- operate process machines ancillary to knitting production.
- identify and sort wastes and demonstrate knowledge of yarn-related faults in knitted fabrics.
- This job requires the individual to have thorough knowledge in process flow and material flow in a knitting machine for fabric production and should know the important functions and operations of knitting machines.
A knitting operator should have good eyesight, hand-eye-leg coordination, motor skills and vision. He/she should also have good interpersonal skills. Ability to work 12 hours shifts, walking/standing for long periods of time
- Bending, stooping, twisting and have the ability to climb ladders Ability to doff rolls from machine weighing 50 pounds.
