POSITION

Quality Control Inspector

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector is an integral part of the manufacturing production line. The Quality Control Inspector will be trained with the technical knowledge and have the ability to communicate the technical information required to perform as an inspector in the Quality Control department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support, report to, and be directed by the Quality Control Manager in his/her duties. Performs quality control according to company standards of inspection, assembly, packaging, and verification. Maintain knowledge of patterns, materials, products, and uses of products produced by the company through advanced product training. Able to read and interpret technical packets, written processes, standard operating procedures, and follow instructions. Maintain clean and organized workspace according to company standards. Utilize various production machines, fixtures, and tooling to perform production functions to a high degree of proficiency. Collaborate and communicate effectively with personnel from other departments to support production floor objectives and ensure quality standards are met. Able to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on machines and identify the need for external services when needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Full-time, on-site position. Strong attention to detail Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean workspace Effective communication skills to report findings and follow directions May be required to work overtime and/or extended hours depending on business needs. Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and kneeling for up to and including 8 hours. Vision to view printed and electronic text and graphics. Ability to access information on computers, tablets, and electronics. Ability to handle and manipulate items with hands and/or fingers up to and including 8 hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in quality control and/or inspection. Prior experience utilizing ERP or MRP software, such as Microsoft Dynamics.
