As a Quality Technician at Energizer Battery Manufacturing division, you will be responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, sample and test product from packaging line to ensure product specifications are being met.
- Test formulation samples for physical and chemical properties to confirm formulas have been made within specifications.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and components using defined acceptance criteria.
- Maintain quality control charts, records of analysis results, certificates of analysis, and other quality data to be able to generate compliance and trend reports and allow investigations into any issues that occur.
- Notify management of any quality issues, coordinate line shutdown if necessary, and quarantine potentially defective product for further inspection.
- Help with investigation into causes of failures and develop and document preventative measures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Perform instrument calibrations periodically.
- The position could require working a 12-hour shift depending on demand.
- High level of visual awareness
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Able to identify possible areas of improvement in quality processes

- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Prior knowledge of the battery industry preferred but not required
- Experience in inspection or quality
- Familiarity with FTIR is a plus
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and SPC Work Relationships
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, R D and Packaging departments. Work Environment
- Working conditions are normal for a plant/office/manufacturing Standard 8-12 hours of walking, standing, and sitting.
