Position Summary Inspection of machined and final assembly manufactured products to meet DSS standards and customer needs. Responsibilities Conduct inspections of products, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations verify quantity and quality of parts received from heat treat vendor Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using various tools and equipment Collect and analyze data to identify trends or areas for improvement Create inspection documents Document inspection results and maintain accurate records Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions Conduct quality audits to assess adherence to quality management systems and procedures Participate in the development and implementation of quality control processes Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions Maintain cleanliness, organization of work area, and equipment Follow safety procedures; wear personal protection equipment as required Required Experienced in machining and programming operations Strong knowledge of quality systems, including quality assurance, QA/QC, and quality control principles Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, height stand, machining related gages or other measurement tools Experience with creation of inspection documents Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data for decision-making purposes Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions Use of PC software specifically Word and Excel Equipment/Material Used Calipers, micrometers, machining gages, height stand, other measurement tools Work Environment Factory conditions, including seasonally heat & humidity, seasonal cold temperatures. Physical Demands Use both hands and feet Standing 50% of the shift
