Job Description

Quality Control Inspector Manufacturing Concepts Raleigh, NC 27615 We are currently hiring a Quality Control (QC) Technician to support inspection and quality assurance in our precision machine shop. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with standard QC tools and be able to read and interpret complex blueprints. Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong understanding of mechanical components are essential. CMM experience is a plus but not required—we’re willing to train the right candidate with a strong foundation in manual inspection tools and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-process, first-article, and final inspections of machined components. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators. Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records. Communicate with machinists and supervisors regarding non-conformances and inspection findings. Support continuous improvement efforts in quality control processes.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop quality role. Proficient with standard QC tools and inspection methods. Strong blueprint reading skills and working knowledge of GD&T. Basic computer skills for documentation and report entry. CMM experience is a strong plus but not mandatory—training available. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
