Quality Technician II Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician II to perform in-process testing for internal customers and finished goods, returned goods, and stability testing for external customers as needed. The role involves specified analysis on all process control samples, finished goods, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation. The technician will maintain precise records of laboratory analysis and ensure the preparation of standards and reagents required for analytical methods. Responsibilities + Perform in-process testing for internal customers. + Conduct finished goods, returned goods, and stability testing for external customers as needed. + Analyze all process control samples and report results promptly via telephone or computer entry. + Carry out specified analysis on finished goods using approved written procedures and laboratory techniques. + Maintain accurate records of laboratory analysis using the appropriate recordkeeping system. + Troubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance on laboratory instruments. + Prepare standards and reagents for analytical methods and procedures. + Prioritize and plan workload and team assignments for maximum efficiency and accuracy. + Assist in non-routine analytical work to solve plant problems. + Utilize problem-solving skills for failure investigations and testing issues. + Participate in a certified 5S Workplace System for good housekeeping and organization. + Aid in training others as needed. + Perform non-routine quality control tasks such as resampling, raw material testing, and method and equipment validation. Essential Skills + Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. + Familiarity with laboratory procedures, equipment, and computer key punching. + Sound and correct technical judgments during routine analysis. + High degree of concentration. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate or Technical degree in a related field required. + B.S. degree in Physical Science or related field preferred. + 1 – 3 years laboratory experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred. + Working knowledge of cGMP is a plus. + Functional/Technical Skills, Priority Setting, Written Communication. + Customer Focus, Organizing. Work Environment The role is primarily based in a well-equipped analytical laboratory featuring fume hoods, benches, glassware, and instruments. Sampling may occur in a warehouse or processing area, requiring lifting and transporting materials. Exposure to chemical emissions typical for chemical operations should be expected. Normal dexterity is required for handling laboratory glassware and instruments, with the ability to visualize colors and distinguish slight differences in liquid volumes. Wearing personal protective equipment such as hard-hats, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses is mandatory. Schedule Must be comfortable working a dupont schedule (12 hour night and day rotation schedule) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00/hr.
