Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Technician II to support quality operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The technician will be responsible for performing in-process, finished goods, and raw material testing using chemical, physical, and instrumental methods. This position requires working independently on a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule with occasional overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final product testing using approved procedures to ensure product quality. Analyze samples from manufacturing operations, returned goods, and stability studies. Perform non-routine analytical tasks to support plant investigations and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records in compliance with cGMP and documentation standards. Operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments. Prepare reagents and standards needed for analytical testing. Use data entry systems to report and communicate test results promptly. Assist in resampling, raw material testing, and method/equipment validation. Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives within the lab environment. Collaborate with internal teams including operators, engineers, and quality personnel to report analytical results and resolve issues.
Required Qualifications:
Associate//’s or Technical degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Life Sciences) required; Bachelor//’s degree in Physical Science or related field preferred. 1-3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Familiarity with GMP regulations and quality control testing preferred. Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to follow lab safety procedures and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in basic math and computer-based data entry systems. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE and perform light lifting when transporting lab materials.
Working Conditions:
Laboratory environment with routine use of glassware, fume hoods, chemicals, and lab instruments. Occasional work in warehouse and processing areas for sample collection. Exposure to solvents and other chemical substances with proper PPE.
