Location:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 2-pieceand 3-piece steel cans for the food industry. There areapproximately 95 employees at the Hanover location. The HanoverPlant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in closeproximity to York, PA, Gettysburg, PA and the Maryland border.
- Position overview: The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for working withthe operations and quality teams to ensure adherence to qualityspecifications and standards throughout the manufacturing process
- This position is scheduled 5am-5pm on a yearly rotationalschedule. The starting hourly rate is $23.6773 with progressionincreases.

Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality AssuranceTechnician’s responsibilities would include, but will not belimited to, the following:
- Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process atproscribed intervals Identify non-conforming product and react according to qualitysystem or plan requirements Retain out-of-spec products per quality plans Communicate effectively quality data to team members orappropriate contacts; including but not limited to, QA Team,Manufacturing Supervisor, Superintendent, etc.
Able to understand quality data and charts recorded by qualitysystems Analyze and interpret trends and conditions as recorded byquality systems Help identify root cause(s) for non-conforming product apply of statistical problem-solving techniques Provide feedback to team members Work with operations and quality to manage sorting or push onproduct on the shift Manage shift chargebacks Record all information for food safety investigations Provide knowledge of upper and lower control limits Be familiar with SOPs to help sustain compliance and offerprocess improvement suggestions Participate in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Audits andsupport site GMP compliance Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements At least one year work experience in manufacturing or industrialenvironment Basic math skills Computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs(Excel, Word, Access, etc.). Demonstrated decision making skills Able to work alternate work schedules including overtime, voluntaryand mandatory, based on business needs Preferred Requirements GED or High School Diploma preferred Previous roles with responsibilities for Quality Assurance orQuality Control Previous food manufacturing experience Knowledge of GMPs 6

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms,and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Working Conditions:
Generally works in a production environment where hearingprotection is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will beexposed to light lifting, warehouse forklift traffic and changingclimate changes, depending on the season. Production noise level is frequently loud.
