CMM/Vision Systems Programmer Immediate opening for a CMM/Vision Systems Programmer to work in a dynamic Medical Device environment. This position reports to the Manager, Supplier Quality in a highly visible role that has significant and direct impact on incoming and in process manufacturing activities and success of projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead new equipment qualifications, procurement and test method validation activities for automated systems (CMM and Vision system).
Manage new component inspection strategies, program development, review and documentation completion. Develop inspection processes, procedures and sampling plans according to the risk level of components, material and devices.
Train new inspectors on automated equipment use, implement programing, trouble-shooting best practices and record keeping.
Coordinate work in the inspection area specific to the CMM and Vision machine as per the “Clear to build” or equivalent. Including program development, review and training.
Manage special requests from Engineering and or other team members, identify solutions and report on results as required to finalize investigations in a team setting.
Lead investigations resulting in root cause and corrective actions through use of data analysis, inductive and deductive reasoning, and problem solving skills.
Ensure all product, processes, and components are within specifications and work with internal team and with customers to resolve any nonconformance issues.
Requirements:
Ability to program and evaluate machine capabilities for inspections across complex components with tight tolerances
Proficient with Blueprint interpretation, GD&T
Proficient utilizing measuring equipment and software, including; CMMs, Vision systems, Smart Profile, OpenDemis, Keyence, Micrometers, calipers, optical comparators etc.
Computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspection
Familiarity with ISO, ASQ, and ANSI sampling plans
Proper handling of Electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive components.
Competent with ESD controls, printed circuit board assembly/ solder inspection experience (IPC-A-610).
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years’ experience or equivalent years’ minimum experience in an inspection environment using automated inspection equipment
Experience with compliance, with applicable standards and regulations such as 21 CFR 820 and
ISO 13485
2016 is required.
Experience participating in internal and external audits.
Certified inspector a plus (ex. ASQ CQI)
