Job Overview:

We are seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector to join our team! This individual will be responsible for dimensional, visual, and surface finish, inspections of machined parts and assemblies, consisting of first article, in process, and final inspection. Must be detailed orientated in recording all inspections performed accurately and timely, as well as assuring all Non-conformance reports are recorded.

Responsibilities:

First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspection of complex parts and assemblies. Must be able to understand and interpret geometric tolerance. Dimensional, visual and surface finish inspection of assemblies, sub-assemblies, finished and semi-finished components, identifying any and all issues with material, workmanship, or process. Mechanical inspection using digital calipers, micrometers, height and depth gages, microscopes, Starrett vision machine, and typical shop gaging. Familiar with the tools and equipment and shall have demonstrated proficiency in their use. Experience working with revision controlled drawings. Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times. Interacts with all departments to assure product is correct and on schedule. Capable of determining the calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment is in proper condition for use, and that inspection, examination and test procedures are approved. Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot the process and trends of machined parts, and offer suggestions/solutions to continue quality of product.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED 3+ years’ experience in Quality Mechanical Inspection 2+ years’ experience in Blueprint Reading, precision measurment experience and CMM expereince

Maintain a clean and safe work environment Additional duties as assigned. Positive attitude with the ability to work with a sense of urgency. Self-motivated, organized individual with ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferences:

Experience in working with and precision machining of plastics Programming experience with a Starrett Coordinate Measuring machine a plus. ERP system usage/knowledge a plus Strong blueprint reading skills
