Job Description:
Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections of machined components, ensuring conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Inspections involve dimensional checks, visual inspections, and verification of surface finishes. Utilize a wide range of precision measurement tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, optical comparators, and surface plates. Read and interpret complex blueprints, manufacturing drawings, and GD&T symbols to determine critical dimensions and tolerances. Accurately document inspection results on paper and in digital systems (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, or specialized quality management software). Complete and maintain quality documentation such as First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), inspection checklists, and Certificates of Conformance (COCs). Use computer-based tools for data entry, report generation, and communication—must be comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic ERP or MRP systems. Work closely with machinists, production leads, and engineering to address and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively. Perform calibration checks and ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained and certified. Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and strictly follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a machining or precision manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading Proficient with a wide range of inspection tools and equipment Solid documentation and record-keeping skills; familiarity with inspection logs and compliance forms Computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with digital inspection or quality systems Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems is preferred Experience with ERP/MRP systems for part tracking or quality workflows is a plus

Pay Details:
