Job Description

Sr. QA Technicians Brickforce Staffing Elmwood Park, NJ 07407 As a Sr. Quality Assurance (QA) Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Prior experience in food handling is required. Candidates needed for 1st and 2nd Shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the quality control team and various departments to conduct inspections, conduct testing, and maintain documentation to support our commitment to deliver safe and delicious food products. Perform routine quality inspections throughout the food manufacturing process to identify any deviations from established quality standards through visual and required checks. Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples. Collect and analyze samples at various stages of production, using standard testing methods and equipment to evaluate key attributes such as weight, shape, pH, moisture content, temperature, and microbiological safety. Document and report any quality or nonconformity issues discovered during inspections and help investigate root causes. Monitor and verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other relevant quality and safety regulations. Participate in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, and engineering, to address quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in the development and review of quality control procedures, specifications, and work instructions. Keep accurate records of test results, inspection findings, and other quality-related documentation. Immediately bring any out-of-specification (OOS) results to the Supervisor’s attention. Review daily paperwork, ensure accurate scanning, and file appropriately. Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release. Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Prepare and distribute a daily shift summary, to the QA and Operations teams. Promptly escalate any deviations related to food safety or quality, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency. Qualifications for

Skills & Experience:

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required for the role. Experience in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Must be detail oriented and possess intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Warehouse or ERP Systems). Ability to work flexible hours (on a rotating schedule with the team, at times.) Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and on weekends. Bilingual Preferred (preferably English/Spanish) to perform key job functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work in a cold, hot, and high-moisture environment. Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and twist for extended periods; ability to lift 50 lbs. Availability for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Submit your resume for consideration.
