QC Inspector AXI 5DX Position Available In Essex, New Jersey

Job Description:

The QC Inspector – AXI operates the AXI/5DX machine, performsquality inspections using AXI/5DX, and provides AXI/5DX support.

Primary Job Responsibilities 1. Operate the AXI/5DX machine

• Responsible for the entire AXI operation/line support activities
• Review AXI inspection for accurate, consistent detection ofcomponent placement and solder joint defects
• Support and maintaintest handlers, troubleshooting AXI machine whenever necessary tosupport production
• Assist superior to carry out various studiesfor quality improvement, program, and cycle time optimization forAXI operation.
• Work in close collaboration with the processingand engineering teams to improve visual defect yields and resolveprocessing issues 2. Perform AXI-related quality inspection tasks
• Inspect components or feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors,clips, screws, etc., using the AXI computer-operated machine,
• Inspect populated printed circuit boards and identify componentmisplacement and solder defects to

standards, usingmagnification aids and stereomicroscopes.

• Read, understand, andfollow customer’s drawings, specifications, instructions, andrequirements as they apply to inspect printed circuit boardassembly.
• Load AXI programs per instructions
• Perform AXIinspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste,component placement, and solder joint defects
• Detect and reportproblems and issues in the operation process and components 3.Support engineers and production operators with equipment training,data collection, and system evaluations
• Assist engineers in datacollection and engineering evaluations
• Communicate defects toresponsible personnel
• Inspect populated PCBs and identifycomponent misplacement and solder defects to

standardsusing a microscope

• Responsible for daily/shift yield, efficiency,and effectiveness report
• Support improvement initiatives andparticipate actively to improve the work environment (5S) Otherduties and responsibilities related to AXI Support and Productionas assigned

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of experienceoperating AXI or 5DX equipment 2. High School Diploma
