Job Description:

At Volt, our greatest strength is our people Volt is immediatelyhiring Quality Control Inspector in Clifton, NJ As a QualityControl Inspector you will be: Responsible for the identificationand documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly,process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.

Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and proceduresfor inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy andreliability of company products. Leads the preparation andexecution of internal audits within established manufacturing andproduction controls to ensure compliance with internal and externalspecifications and standards. Liaises with auditing groups andinspectors to develop formal written reports, and recommendcorrective actions. Identifies trends in discrepancies andcollaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimizationof business processes. Oversees testing department activities andwork of inspectors. Reviews, approves, and controls work order flowtags. Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplementalinspection instructions in support of standards, methods andprocedures. Participates in supplier corrective and preventativeactions, including: customer escapes, process nonconformities,supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, andmaterial review board meetings. Intermediate professional withpractical knowledge of job area. Works under moderate supervisionto set objectives for own job area. Communicates with contactsinside and outside own team to explain and interpret operationalprocesses, practices, and procedures Identifies and addresseschanges within own job area. Works to achieve operational targetswith some impact on departmental results.

The ideal candidate willhave:

Familiarization working in an ESD environment 3-5 years ofprevious inspection experience Must have ability to read andunderstand complex mechanical assembly drawings, schematics, wiringdiagrams and Engineering sketches, and the ability to read andwrite in English. Must have a working understanding of printstructures to determine ?as built? vs. ?as designed?configurations. Must be able to use instruments such as verniers,micrometers, and height gages to measure and evaluate partsdimensions. Also requires ability to use computers and microscopes.

Candidates with a military background work out well in thisenvironment. Working Knowledge of GDMT. General understanding ofIPC Standards. This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract tohire opportunity.

Pay Range :
