QC Analyst WissenPro East Rochester, NY 14445

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting products at various stages of the production process. The role involves evaluating data to ensure processes meet quality requirements and documenting inspection results accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using appropriate measuring equipment as per quality plans. Document all inspection findings and ensure all specified tests and inspections are completed using the most current documents. Audit internal manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with standards and practices. Identify and address nonconforming products by halting production when necessary, tagging suspect material, and reporting issues. Complete and manage Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) and coordinate follow-up actions, including rework and re-inspection. Prepare First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 standards. Assist in verifying calibration dates and accuracy of gauges used on the production floor.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:

3-5 years of related experience and/or training required. Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institute preferred. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading required. Proficiency with hand measuring tools and inspection devices is essential.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. High school-level mathematical proficiency. Strong reasoning skills to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve standardized problems. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, internet navigation, and email. Familiarity with database software and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (preferred).

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, and occasionally talk or hear. Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift/move over 100 lbs. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

Regular work near moving mechanical parts. Possible exposure to non-hazardous fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is generally moderate.

$61,918.00 – $66,376.00 per year
