Quality Assurance Specialist Supervisor:
Director of Quality Assurance Serving Valley Stream or Brooklyn Function:
Monitor, review, & analyze clinical documentation to assure the highest quality of coordinated care. As a member of the Quality Assurance team, the Quality Assurance Specialist coordinates and completes daily internal reviews of clinical staff documentation, focused reviews, and problem identification. Provides coaching and feedback to associates as necessary. Communicates all important developments and findings from internal reviews to clinical supervisor. Makes appropriate recommendations to program for improvement as necessary. Follows up on programs response to findings, ensuring all findings have been addressed. Provides a report tracking compliance with timeliness as mandated by applicable legislative and accrediting organizations. Responsible for ongoing tracking of all necessary chart documentation. •Assumes additional responsibilities at the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance.
Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor’sDegree 1-2 years of specific Behavioral health clinical knowledge preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience in public sector behavioral health care preferred. Strong knowledge of OMH 599 regulations Demonstrated ability to identify trends and conduct root-cause analyses Ability to provide constructive feedback with a focus on improved quality Ability to communicate in a positive/professional manner both orally and written Ability to follow detailed instructions with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work independently; complete tasks in the allotted time frame Strong problem solving skills and decision making skills Ability to work at multiple locations when required (Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle Required) Available to work some evenings and
Saturday Job Type:
Full-time All full-time QA Specialists are required to work a Saturday or Sunday with a day off during the week. Monday to Friday (4 week days required along with a Saturday or Sunday)
